Preparation for Worship: Sunday, September 24, 2017

Psalms 86:8–10 ESV, “There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like yours. All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name. For you are great and do wondrous things; you alone are God.”

The one we gather to worship is like none other.  Our gathered worship is just a glimpse of the world-wide glory belonging to our great God. Join us as we praise and exalt God for his great and wondrous acts for us in Christ.

The links below are provided to help us sing together. Get ready to sing so that with our united voices we can remind each other about our Great God through truth-filled praise.

The expository sermon will be preached from Psalm 145 with a focus on verses 14-21. Read through the Psalm and then focus on verses 14-21.

  • What truths about God do you see?
  • In what way(s) have you forgotten these truths?
  • Describe what would be your experience if you lived in the reality of those truths?
  • Pray!

Use Isaiah 55:11 to shape your prayers for our time of gathered worship.  Ask God to accomplish in us through his Word and by his Spirit all that he has purposed for it to do.  Ask God to make his Word successful in transforming our lives.

Isaiah 55:11 ESV, “so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”
