Psalms 84:1–2 ESV, “How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts! My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the Lord; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God.”
Sunday morning offers us reminders of how lovely it is to be in God’s presence. The Lord’s Day invites us to help our spiritual family remember and rekindle our longing for the Lord. Only when we long for the Lord can we sing for joy to God. Come and worship!
The voices of the church are the most important instruments in our music ministry. Get ready to sing with your church family!
The expository sermon will be preached from Psalm 17. Read through the Psalm with someone else and ask each other:
- What aspect of God’s character does this Psalm lead you to worship and appreciate?
- What does this Psalm teach us about prayer?
Be sure to pray for your church family and for our time together this Lord’s Day. Turn these words from Psalm 17 into your own prayers for your spiritual family.
Psalms 17:6–7 ESV, “I call upon you, for you will answer me, O God; incline your ear to me; hear my words. Wondrously show your steadfast love, O Savior of those who seek refuge from their adversaries at your right hand.”
