In this week’s “fighter verse” we conclude our meditations from Psalm 34. In this passage we wrestle with the reality of afflictions happening to the righteous while at the same time rejoicing that the righteous will not be condemned. We will let these truths about God’s redeeming action towards the righteous prepare and shape us for prayer.
Psalms 34:19–22 ESV, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken. Affliction will slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.”
The Word and Prayer:
Tonight we will pray for the gospel advance in the country of North Korea. Despite heavy persecution God continues to build his church in this land. Join us as we intercede for the people of North Korea together.
If you can gather with us, please come! If you are not able to gather, please spend some time tonight reading the Scriptures and praying for your Christian brothers and sisters at GBC and around the world.
