mid_week.jpgGospel Readiness:

Have you ever had someone object to the gospel because of other obstacles in their mind about what they think the Bible says about a topic? Slavery is one topic that unbelievers often use to refute and question the Scriptures. Tonight, we are going to explore some of the key accusations about slavery from unbelievers.

  • Does the Bible approve of slavery?
  • Does the Bible view slaves as property?
  • Why doesn’t the Bible condemn slavery?
  • Join us tonight as we look into these tough topics.

City Group Leader Meeting:

The city group leaders will meet with Shaun at the church building tonight at 7pm to get ready for the start of our City Groups next week.  Please pray for fruit and for the gospel to transform us and advance in our cities.

If you can gather with us, please come! If you are not able to gather, please spend some time tonight reading the Scriptures and praying for your Christian brothers and sisters at GBC and around the world.

Mid-week: January 6, 2016

mid_week.jpgIt is so easy to try and find our identity in what we do. We prove this by so often answering the question about who we are by telling people what we do.

As Christians who are we, really?  How do we think of ourselves? Are our thoughts right, healthy, and godly? How does God see us and what answers to identity can be found in the Holy Scriptures?  Why does any of this matter?

Bring your Bible and join us tonight for an interactive study in 1 Peter 2 that will shape our thinking about who we are and what we do. The result is a life together in community that fulfils God’s greatest purpose and meaning for us.

REMINDER: NEW SERVICE TIME

Remember, we will begin our new service time this Sunday, January 10, 2016.  Our morning service will begin at 9:00am.  Afterwards we will gather for a family update about sharing life together in City Groups.

Midweek: December 09, 2015

mid_week.jpgAs we progress through this season of Advent John 1 offers us much to consider and praise God.

John 1:14–16 ESV,  “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. …For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.”

What “fullness” has God given us in Jesus? What difference does this fullness make in our daily walk of faith?

If you can gather with us, please come! If you are not able to gather, please spend some time tonight reading the Scriptures and praying for your Christian brothers and sisters at GBC and around the world.

The Word and Prayer:

On Sunday we looked into the riches of Romans 8 where we learned how comprehensive and glorious is a Christian’s justification through faith in Christ. Tonight we will together explore Romans 8 more fully.  How have you experienced God’s grace to you this week as a result of the truths found in Romans 8?

We hope you can join us as we grow in grace together Wednesday, 7:00pm-8:00pm at, 2600 Cypress Ridge Blvd., Wesley Chapel, FL.

In our present age of quickly accessible information one would think our grasp of wisdom should be the best its ever been. Sadly, we all know this isn’t true. Even though information abounds wisdom, it seems, is at an all time low. Why? What is wisdom? Where can it be found? How is it found? What must be done to possess it?

Since we didn’t get a chance to do this a couple of weeks ago, tonight we will investigate Proverbs 2 in our quest to answer those questions. Come with your Bible, a teachable heart, and a readiness to spiritually grow with other Christians.

We hope you can join us as we grow in grace together Wednesday, 7:00pm-8:00pm at, 2600 Cypress Ridge Blvd., Wesley Chapel, FL.

The Word and Prayer:

Tonight we will investigate the topic of Christian baptism. It’s likely you’ve had  questions about this church ordinance. What is the purpose of baptism? Since Jesus was sinless why was he baptized? Open your Bible to Acts 19 and see if you have any questions after reading the first six verses.  This evening, it will be our aim to better understand baptism so we can better grow in our knowledge of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

We hope you can join us as we grow in grace together Wednesday, 7:00pm-8:00pm at, 2600 Cypress Ridge Blvd., Wesley Chapel, FL.

The Word and Prayer:

What motivates you in your Christian walk of faith? What prompts you to faith-filled actions of obedience? In 2 Corinthians 8 the Apostle Paul directs his readers to reflect on the gracious acts of Jesus toward them to motivate their generous acts toward others. Join us tonight 7pm-8pm for a time of interactive Bible study that will encourage and fortify your faith.

If you can gather with us, please come! If you are not able to gather, please spend some time tonight reading the Scriptures and praying for your Christian brothers and sisters at GBC and around the world.

in charge.001

Who’s in Charge?

We’ve spent 4 Sundays together looking into Job and Esther. We’ve seen God’s sovereign power expressed in Job 38-42. We’ve also seen the silent sovereignty of God in the story of Esther.  In both stories we sort through perplexing circumstances that still cause us to ask the question, “Who’s in charge?” Tonight we will look into the Scriptures to help us answer that question as we wrestle with some painful realities of living a life of faith in a sin broken world. The fruit of our study will help your faith-filled praying as you wrestle through your own set of perplexing circumstances.

If you can gather with us, please come! If you are not able to gather, please spend some time tonight reading the Scriptures and praying for your Christian brothers and sisters at GBC and around the world.

Wednesday Night: September 23, 2015

mid_week.jpg

Have you ever been perplexed by the apparent happiness of the ungodly? Have you ever wondered if fighting the fight of faith is worth it as you suffer for the sake of Christ? In this week’s “fighter verse” the Psalmist wrestles with these questions and eventually finds comfort and confidence in his relationship with God.

Psalms 73:25–26 ESV, “Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

The Word and Prayer:

Tonight we will listen and learn from Psalm 73 as we let the light of God’s Word illuminate our own path of life.  Then we will pray for the advance of the gospel in our cities and for our own growth in godliness.

If you can gather with us, please come 7pm-8pm. If you are not able to gather, please spend some time tonight reading the Scriptures and praying for your Christian brothers and sisters at GBC and around the world.
