Preparation for Worship: Sunday, October 22, 2017

Jeremiah 17:5, 7 ESV, “Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord. “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.”

Every Sunday is a grace from God reminding us the blessed life trusts in the Lord. If we do not worship God we are turned away from him in man-centered trust.  Let the grace of God found in his gathered people turn your heart toward Christ with greater passion. Come and worship!

The links below are provided to help us sing together. Familiarize yourself with the tune so we can sing these rich Bible truths together.  Singing with other Christians is one way we teach and admonish one another (Col 3:16).

The expository sermon will be preached from Psalm 15.  Read through the Psalm to prepare yourself to be an “expository listener.”

Use 2 Peter 3:18 to shape your prayers. Please pray!  Ask God to grow us up in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 3:18 ESV, “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.”
