Preparation for Worship: Sunday, September 17, 2017

Psalms 94:18–19 ESV, “When I thought, “My foot slips,” your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.”

The only One who never slips or becomes overwhelmed with cares is the Lord.  Only the Lord can truly cheer our souls. Come and worship!

Singing:

The links below are provided to help us sing together. The united voices of God’s people is one of the most precious sounds. It’s a little taste of heaven on earth!

Preaching:

We continue our expository sermon series in Psalms by looking to Psalm 11.  Read through the Psalm and let these questions encourage your study of God’s Word to prepare yourself for the sermon.

  • What troubles the writer (David)?
  • What truths give David comfort?
  • What are the two categories of people found in this Psalm?

Pray!

Will you pray? Ask God to do a spiritual work of growth in us by his Word so that God the Father would be glorified in the Son (John 14:13).
