Preparation for Worship: Sunday, August 27, 2017

Psalms 9:1–2 ESV, “I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.”

The Lord’s Day provides us an occasion to give thanks to the Lord with our whole heart.  Join your Christian family to recount some of God’s wonderful deeds.  Gather with us in gladness and join our exultation in the name of the Most High!

Singing:

The voices of the church united together in songs of praise to God are a powerful means of grace to drive doctrine from our heads into our hearts.  Prepare yourself to sing with your church family!

Preaching:

The expository sermon will be preached from Psalm 9. After you read through the Psalm what single truth seems to jump to the surface of your mind?

Pray:

Will you bow in humble prayer asking God to reveal his glory to us in greater measure?  When will you pray for this Lord’s Day gathering? Schedule it, and then at the appropriate time engage your energies in this grace-filled labor of love.
