For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken. – Psalm 62:1-2
God is unshakeable, we are not. Gather with God’s people to worship our unshakeable God and to celebrate the salvation that is found in him alone.
Every Lord’s Day we are a choir with united voices and hearts bound together with chords of God’s love who sing glad praises to God. Get ready to sing!
The expository sermon will be preached from Psalm 3. Thoughtfully read through the entire Psalm.
- What does this Psalm teach you about God?
- What are you tempted to look to for safety and protection instead of God?
- Take the words of this Psalm and form them into your own prayer.
Desiring to pray and actually praying are related but different things. WHEN will you pray for our Lord’s Day gathering? When you do, pray for the spiritual realities Paul writes about in 1 Thessalonians.
1 Thessalonians 1:2–3 ESV, “We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers, remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.”
