“Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored, as happened among you,” – 2 Thessalonians 3:1 ESV
Tonight we will conclude our exploration of Psalm 141:1-4. In this third and final session John Piper wrestles with the relationship between our heart and our mouth. Since David prays for God to incline his heart away from evil who is responsible for our heart inclinations – God or us?
We can echo David’s prayer as our own as we ask God to not let our hearts incline to any evil. Even though God is sovereign over our hearts, we must still pray for faith-filled obedience as responsible moral agents.
If you can gather with us, please come! If you are not able to gather, please spend some time tonight reading the Scriptures and praying for your Christian brothers and sisters at GBC and around the world.
