Sunday Sermon Text:

On Sunday we will explore Jeremiah 17:1-10.  In it we learn the heart has an incurable disease—it’s called sin. Jeremiah uses several metaphors to describe the heart.  Read the passage and consider how each metaphor illustrates the sinful human heart.  Consider how each metaphor helps you to marvel at God’s redemptive work.

Hymn: “O God of Our Salvation”

We will sing a hymn entitled “O God of Our Salvation” to open our time of worship together.  In it we sing about God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit as a blessed Three in One united in action accomplishing our salvation.  Begin to listen and meditate on this hymn in your private worship to prepare yourself for our time of corporate worship.

Lord’s Supper:

As a church family we will celebrate and remember the cross-work of Jesus by observing the Lord’s Supper together. Consider reading one of the gospel accounts of Jesus’ sin-conquering, death-overcoming, wrath-satisfying atoning work to prepare your soul.
